But what’s the story behind Blackwater Workshop, you ask? It all began with my love for the Edisto River, the longest free-flowing blackwater river in the U.S., just a stone's throw from where I grew up. I’ve always found peace and inspiration there, spending time with my family in our cottage on the river, recharging and reconnecting with nature. Creating is in my blood, and after experimenting with countless crafts over the years, I realized I wanted to share that joy with others. And so, Blackwater Workshop was born—a space where creativity flows and everyone is welcome to explore and learn.
